Saving Grace Animal Society is one of highest volume animal rescues in Canada
a documentary show about Saving Grace Animal Society in Alix, Alberta, Canada. Saving Grace was started by Stettler local and William Hays Composite High School graduate Erin Michelle Deems, and Amanda McClughan 6 years ago. This documentary tells the story of the beginnings of Saving Grace, and then takes the audience right into the field on rescue missions, and right into the surgery rooms; as Saving Grace has a no animal left behind policy and they always do everything in there power to the animals in need. In their beginnings Erin and Amanda were the only two people in the organization, and they rescued about 100 animals a year out of their homes. After 6 years they have grown the operation and now operate out of a large shelter in Alix. In 2021 they adopted out 1880 companion pets, had 2775 animal go through their program, and conducted over 2200 veterinary surgeries. Their operations are completely supported by donations, sponsorships, and fund raising. Support for Saving Grace has grown astronomically over 6 years reaching support from all across Canada and North America. Their operations cost around $100,000 a month in veterinary bills alone, and the Co-Executive Director team of Erin and Amanda has build the organization on a foundation of stone that will last for many years to come.
