Safi Life believes that EVERY girl, no matter her circumstances, should have access to an education. The United Nations affirms this vision: "When educated, healthy, and equipped with the right skills and opportunities, girls and young women hold the key to unlocking many of the world’s most pressing problems.” Safi Life founder Devon Ogden met this amazing woman on a 2007 trip to Rwanda, and both of their lives were changed forever. After putting herself though undergraduate school, Safi is now earning her Master's Degree in business administration while working as our organization's County Director in Kigali, Rwanda. Upon graduation, Safi plans to start her own company to link college graduates with jobs in their communities. Despite enduring unspeakable physical and emotional trauma from the 1994 genocide against Tutsi, Safi remains joyous to be alive, full of faith, and compassionate towards every single person she meets.
