WESTERN VS. INDIGENOUS PERSPECTIVES: Ep1, GIVING

On Purpose | Season 1

When it comes to sharing with others or taking a chance in life, we are often more concerned about what we are going to lose than what we stand to gain. Thus, we hold back. We wait until we have a super-abundance to make a move, if we do at all. However, if we looked at the bigger picture, if we truly believed that we are all one, and knew deep down that the universe always provides, we would see things differently. We would act differently. Many of the indigenous people of the world can see it as it is. The ways of their people better reflect who we are as human beings. Anaru Paine is a super-cool and wide awake member of the Tuhoe family, who stand among the traditional people of New Zealand, called Maori. He traveled the globe with David Wolfe for many years, doing healings and teaching at his workshops. Subscribe to hear more from Anaru and other Maori leaders, healers, activists and elders.
