BIO: Laura Ballman started a career in Journalism working for CNN, Newsweek, the Associated Press, and The Economist, even more fascinating she went on to become a former CIA operations officer who served nearly two decades undercover first as an overseas CIA clandestine operations officer and later as a counterintelligence division chief for the Department of Energy and National Laboratories Complex.
Laura also served as a tour leading intelligence for the FBI’s international Art Crime Team, which investigates felony art forgeries, thefts, smuggling, and illegal financial schemes.
Now based in Washington DC, Laura advises governmental and private clients on risk-management and promoting democratic values and is a widely sought speaker and author on issues related to foreign policy and the international art market.
